Requiring Payment for a Service
How the require-payment toggle works, and what happens if no payment method is connected.
When editing a service, you can turn on Payment required and optionally set a deposit amount (leave it blank to charge the full service price). Before you can turn this on, you need at least one payment method connected in Settings > Integrations — your own PayFast merchant account, your EFT banking details, or both.
When a customer books a service that requires payment, their slot is reserved immediately, and they're either redirected to your PayFast checkout or shown your EFT instructions, depending on what you've connected.
